Allied Solar- Inside Sales Consultant

Location: ST. PAUL, MN

Primary Function

This role is responsible for promoting and generating sales of solar products from an inside sales environment. Secondary job function is to efficiently process multiple orders while continuing to provide superior customer service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and build relationships with key solar contractors/solar integrators interested in purchasing solar products from Allied
  • Provide a high level of support through a consultative sales approach to prospective customers
  • Proactively communicate (by phone, email, face-to-face contact) with potential prospects
  • Coordinate all stages of the sales process
  • Work closely with General Manager and solar sales team.
  • Receive and process requests directly from customers (via telephone, fax and mail) for price quotations, product availability, customer orders, material returns, billing corrections, product information, order changes and cancellations 
  • Quickly and smoothly resolve customer complaints and problems
  • Engage in specialty purchasing (when applicable)
  • Coordinate delivery and/or pick up of customer orders with operations teams
  • Generate price quotations in a timely manner
  • Responsible for adhering to policies of the customer financial services
  • Maintain adequate supply of product samples and literature
  • Work with Replenishers to achieve the best product line
  • Maintain strong relationships with customers during and after purchases to facilitate return business
  • Build a working technical knowledge of all available Allied Solar PV products
  • Understand and follow company safety rules to foster and maintain a safe work environment
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Experience

  • Experience with solar products/industry a plus
  • Experience in a team-based environment 
  • Experience in a position that deals directly with customers (front-line)
