HR Coordinator


I.      Primary Function

Responsible for a variety of professional and administrative human resource functions. Oversee issues related to employment, employee relations and onboarding. Focused on fielding field questions on HR policies, processes, and practices and recommending changes to Northeast HR management. To ensure efficient operations, HR coordinator performs a substantial amount of research, data analysis, and reporting.


II.     Key Responsibilities

  • Proactively communicate with Managers to effectively administer onboarding process
  • Coordinate the onboarding and e-mail communications ensuring they are completed in a timely manner
  • Coordinate the background check process to ensure it is completed timely and in compliance with established guidelines
  • Serve as a resource for all onboarding
  • Maintain Alfresco files for Northeast/Canada
  • Complete and process employment verifications and unemployment inquiries as needed
  • Make recommendations for process improvement as needed
  • Participate in HR project teams and provide project management support as needed
  • Understand and follow company safety rules to create and maintain a safe work environment
  • Facilitate human resources processes
  • Work with Benefits Admin resolving benefits-related problems
  • Ensure the effective utilization of plans related to HR programs and services
  • Answer employee requests and questions
  • Assist with new employee hiring processes
  • Assist with the performance review and termination processes
  • Assist with the recruitment and interview processes
  • Perform other duties as assigned

  • Excellent problem solving, analytical, communication, interpersonal, and relationship building skills
  • Attention to detail, highly motivated, initiative / self-starter

IV.   Experience

  •  3-5 years of administrative support experience in a corporate environment required
  •  Expert knowledge of Microsoft Office – (PowerPoint, Excel, Word)
  •  Bachelor’s Degree is preferred
