Branch Manager

Location: Calgary

Beacon Roofing Supply Canada Company is one of the top 3 roofing & building supply companies in North America and currently operates 22 branches across Canada. Beacon specializes in the sale of commercial and residential roofing products, waterproofing and air barrier products and roofing systems to professional contractors and dealers.

We are currently seeking an experienced Branch Manager candidate specialized in residential and commercial roofing products for our location of Calgary North (ON).

Position objective: The Branch Manager’s primary role is to direct the efficient operation of the Branch; Fulfill the Corporate Missions of providing quality products and high levels of service while continuing to grow the business profitably.


Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  •  Operations – Ensure efficient and profitable store operations.
  •  Sales/customer service – Guarantee prompt, efficient customer service and profitable sales growth
  •  Personnel – Maintaining adequate staffing to meet company and customers’ needs in the most efficient and economical manner.
  •  Financials – Ensure profitability goals are met through sales growth, margins improvement and expense control


  •  Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) in business or commerce degree from college or university; five to ten years’ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience/training is a must.
  •  Proven leadership and supervisory skills with at least five years’ experience managing and supervising employees.
  •  Experience in commercial roofing, an asset
  •  Ability to read financial statements, calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
  •  Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
  •  Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
  •  Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and DBS
  •  Valid driver’s licence is a must.
